I'm a farm boy turned carpenter turned software developer who developed a love for beautiful light within the last few years. Sometimes I can capture it, often I just soak it in and never get around to the capture, and seldom can I create it.
As for an artist statement? I'm not really interested in creating high art over which discerning art patrons rave, although if there's an intersection between my art and their taste I welcome it. What I really want is to create pieces that I love and that appeal to average people; if I can't have both, well, I'd like to create a body of work that I love and am proud of.
